18 HOUR PLAYS

Synopsis

This is a unique theatre event where short plays are student conceived, written, directed, cast, staged and performed all within an 18 hour time frame.

  • 3:00 am: Writers arrive at school to write and edit short plays.
  • 6:00 am: Directors arrive.
  • 7:00 am: Actors arrive and are cast into the various plays.
  • 9:00 am: Make-up, Costumers, Tech and Set Designers arrive to start creating the sets and wardrobe. The students work together to create the 5 to 6 plays that are performed that evening.
  • 8:00 pm: Performance.

Tickets will be sold at the door.

Since the plays are written by our High School Students it should be noted that many of the themes are relevant to young adults and may not be appropriate for young children.
